FS: Extremely Nice 1996 LT1/M6 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 #2257
I've trying to prioritize a bit, finish out school, pay off all debt, and get into a house soon so the WS6 has to go.
1996 Arctic White Pontiac Trans Am WS6 #2257 with just shy of 78,000 miles on it, previous owner (Chris Renner aka Chris 96 WS6) babied the car and it was garage kept. It was originally an A4 car and barely has any miles on it since the M6 swap (not a hack job, it was done right). There is so much to this car that its hard to put a price tag on it but I know I have to and since its necessary to I'll just say $11,000 OBO. Contact me and we can negotiate this. 5.7L LT1 V8 WS6 performance package WS6/1LE suspension Lloyd Elliot Stage 2 (LE2) ported cylinder heads with 2.00/1.60 valves Comp Cams XE 224/230 114 LSA +4 Combination Motorports 618 dual valvesprings Comp Pro Magnum 1.6 roller rockers 7/16th studes and guideplates Racetronix fuel pump and upgraded fuels system Ram air intake with K&N filter BBK 58mm throttle body FLP coated long tube headers FLP catted midpipe with removable cats Hooker Aerochamber catback with dual/dual tips T-56 conversion, poly trans mount (included, currently has rubber mount in car) SPEC Stage 2 clutch with less than 2,000 miles on it (I'm still taking it easy and breaking it in, hasn't been beaten on, no drag strip passes, no launches, no burnouts) McLeod adjustable master cylinder Hurst shifter, J-Rod short stick, brushed "WS.6" MBA billet shift knob Raptor shift light mounted in driver's side a-pillar vent, custom silver painted vent rings MacEwen silver faced gauge overlays Hella H4 headlight conversion, huge improvement over stock lighting C5 Z06 front brake conversion (heavy duty Bob Bishop brackets), rear calipers painted red to match 18x9.5 C5 Z06 Motorsport argent wheels with a polished lip and Falken F451 (F) and F452 (R) tires, all tires are 275s CETA style rear lower bumper valance paint Shaved of all molding and emblems save the factory WS6 emblem on rear bumper WS6 trunk mat with build number Tinted windows all around Bilstein HD shocks and struts BMR tubular lower control arms BMR adjustable panhard rod UMI adjustable trans mount torque arm Stock 10 bolt with factory 3.42 gears, AAM rear differential cover Basic Dell laptop with LT1 Edit and CarCode OBDII scanning tool and all cables included Two boxes full of stock and various parts as well as all sorts of documentation and literature And I'm sure a few things here and there that I'm forgetting still! The car put down 360+rwhp with the A4 and a small Precision Industries Vigilante 2800 stall converter unlocked. It has never been dynoed with the M6 swap. My old LS1 Trans Am was also an A4-M6 swap car and it picked up considerably after the swap. I'd guess this car is capable of putting down every bit of 380rwhp if not closer to 400rwhp. It feels good just driving around town and the cam is designed to make good power while boosting low and midrange too so it drives very nicely. The car has some sound deadening so it rides nice and quiet, the suspension keeps it smooth and controlled and handling great when you throw it through some curves, the AC blows nice and cold and keeps the car cool even in this 100* heat we're having lately. Known issues are the high beam H4 headlights need to be wired but Chris nor I have messed with it as the low beam H4s are plenty bright enough. Also there are a few places on the passenger's side and rear hatch glass that had marks that wouldn't come out. When the windows were tinted these didn't go black as I hoped so the tint has a few spots in it that people may or may not notice. The IAC motor went bad and was replaced and the car could also use some idle/part throttle tuning. It runs and drives great but occassionally it'll idle high (~1500rpms) and throw a code for high idle. Adjusting the idle screw and dialing the idle tune in should fix that right up but I'm not comfortable doing any tuning work myself. The paint has some minor problems as can be expected for a car with 78,000 miles but there are no dings or large scratches and for the most part its in incredible shape. The driver's seat has some minor wear but it is not ripped at all. I just replaced the sun visors as the elastic strap was sagging and the rest of the interior is in like new shape to boot. I think thats it. The car has very little wrong with it and is in excellent shape for a 1996 with 78,000 miles. The car alone is worth $8,000 and I know as well as anyone that you'll never get the money out of mods that you put in but the car is truly one of a kind, has alot of very quality work done to it (look at the parts list, only the best was used and nothing was skimped on), and there are a few mods that I do feel definitely make this nicer than any other LT1 car you'll ever find (Hella H4 light conversion, C5 Z06 front brake conversion, suspension, and the LT1 Edit tuning and OBDII scanning software). You wont find a nicer LT1 car out there for this. Period. ![]() ![]() (Blacked out tails are gone for stock LT1 taillights) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() (Silver door switch plates are back to stock grey but will include silver plates) ![]() The only difference now is the charcoal C5 Z06 Motorsports with polished lips. I'll be getting updated pictures of those soon and would be glad to get them to anyone interested ASAP. Contact Information: Josh Gull (615) 812-1268 joshua.gull(at)gmail(dot)com I work during the days and work long hours in a hectic job environment so often times I wont be able to answer phone calls. Emails are a far better way to contact me and if we get to talking and you're serious about buying the car we'll get in contact over the phone and get all the details ironed out. Thanks for any interest. |

Thanks guys. The guy that picked it up seemed pretty meticulous just as you were and just as I was too when I had it so I think it's in good hands. I really hated to see it go but at the end of the day with me going back to school its cut back on my work hours some and put me in a real pinch the last few months. And obviously the money for the note could go towards debt and a house too. So priorities won out and now I'm back to wishing I had a 6-speed car to take for a spin for quite a while longer. Oh well, one day I guess.
